A multiple-choice question for you all...
Bold text graphic listing UK service crises — 7.3 million on the NHS waiting list, 14 million without an NHS dentist, six million fewer homes than needed — then sarcastically asks how dumb you have to be to believe deporting 90,000 asylum seekers (a Reform policy) would fix any of it.

Most British people’s idea of the real crime rate is enormously out of whack with reality… but extreme politicians and rightwing newspapers have zero interest in enlightening them. This is a brilliant edition that you really should share with any Reform-curious or Daily-Mail-afflicted relatives.

Whenever we see someone post that they're stopping their donation to the RNLI, like some right-wing virtue-signalling flex, we can't help but think of this. You can donate to the RNLI here: buff.ly/bsku22S
Only 1.2% of RNLI calls are for asylum seekers in the Channel — red poster arguing that cancelling RNLI donations equates to saying "I hate migrants... I'm willing to jeopardise the lives of the other 98.8% of rescues," followed by the sarcastic "Lovely people, right?"

This is serious. If Reform blatantly, intentionally and knowingly broke election law, they should be held fully accountable. Liberal Democrats have asked the Police and the Electoral Commission to investigate.

Professional racism enthusiast Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, who likes to be called Tommy Robinson, but instead gets called Tommy Ten Names, is standing on a beach wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans rolled up above his knees. There is an inflatable beachball under his right arm that is too big for the little man to hold on to. The caption underneath says
"Fighting-age man flees country of origin, seeks refuge"

Everybody understands that diplomacy is preferable to war. Yet after a year of talks, we still do not even have ceasefire. It is not Ukraine that is the obstacle to peace, Russia is. We must flip the script to what Russia must do to meet the basic conditions for a just and lasted peace.

At the weekend, the Sunday Times published it's Tax List which highlights which reveals the UK's biggest taxpayers. You might expect it to line up with their Rich List - but there are some pretty significant differences...
Quote from Hannah Peaker, Deputy Chief Executive: There’s a reason that the Sunday Times Rich List and the Sunday Times Tax List are not one and the same. The people who contribute the most tax are not necessarily the wealthiest. Most wealth in this country is hidden from view. We have virtually no idea what the wealthiest people in the UK own, which means we can’t tax them properly.

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.
SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)
