Color. Day. In the background, a temporary concert state erected at the east end of Beale Street. The stage proscenium is marked by Memphis imagery and the text: "901 DAY 2026." A large crowd is gathered in the street in front of the stage. Many people in the crowd hold up signs. Several of those signs read: "FREE THE 901." Also: "NO NATIONAL GUARD" and "OPPORTUNITY NOT OCCUPATION"

This was only a matter of time. In a very real way, the net effect of networked license plate readers is more like putting a GPS device on a car than it is like driving past individual security cameras. And if police wanted to track you over time w/ GPS device or your phone---they'd need a warrant.

ICE agents put flashlight beams down my camera lens... which violates the Constitution. This guy stepped in to block the beams and I didn't see what he was saying to ICE, himself, until I got home. Shout it, Kid. #abolishICE #freethe901 #endtheoccupation #impeachandremove
B&W. Night. A broad city street, angling from downstage left to midway, in the distance, on the right. Standing in the street, some way off, on the right, a cluster of ICE agents in their stupid vests and wearing stupid cosplay military helmets equipped preposterously with moronic-looking cameras alongside several Memphis police officers. In the foreground on the left, a young man with black hair and dark t-shirt, facing the viewer, straight on. Both his arms are raised: upper arms parallel to the ground and elbows at ninety degrees. At the top of each forearm, his hands flip the bird to the ICE agents and MPD behind him.

I’m also 100% with @deanbaker13.bsky.social in being turned off by the false equivalency being promoted here. Biden and Trump aren’t two sides of the same coin: One is a normal politician and the other is a conman and criminal lying to the public (and a traitor if we’re making lists).

Palantir shifting from hiring only "Ivy or Ivy-equivalent" degrees to hiring only out of high school is an admission that "training" and "talent" were never factors at all. They were looking for packaging & prestige, and now they're looking for ignorance & impressionability.
Tech companies launching their own programs to train grads because they ‘can’t rely’ on Ivy Leagues
By Lydia Moynihan
Published Oct. 1, 2026, 6:00 a.m. ETAs the university system increasingly becomes a wildly expensive bastion of anti-Western sentiment, key figures in Silicon Valley are betting on alternatives to higher education. They argue that even the Ivy League is no longer producing the best candidates — nor are they even accepting some of the most qualified students.

“It used to be the case that you could rely on somebody who went to an Ivy or Ivy-equivalent to be top notch,” said Jordan Hirsch, who runs Palantir’s semester-long intensive Meritocracy Fellowship, which accepts high school graduates.“But that’s not the case anymore… we suspected that there was a lot of talent being missed.”

Renee Good's family filed two lawsuits today. The first, against, USG, is a standard wrongful death. The second is a Klan Act lawsuit against Jonathan Ross, AND STEPHEN MILLER and Greg Bovino. It names Nick Shirley and Christopher Rufo as non-party co-conspirators for their racist propaganda.
44. At all relevant times, Defendants Ross, Miller, Noem, Lyons, Homan,
Bovino, and the John Doe Federal Agents acted under color of federal law and within the
scope of a joint enterprise with the private actors described below. Defendant
Lewandowski acted in part under color of federal law and in part, as alleged below, as a
private person, his federal status having been limited to a temporary part-time designation
that his conduct exceeded. Shirley, Rufo, and Ben Bergquam, and the other non-party
private actors described below, agreed to and in fact participated in the conspiracy alleged
here: each acted in concert with, and with the knowledge and encouragement of, federal
officials.

good example of the "legally present" vs. "lawful status" distinction. she's allowed to be here but is also deportable whenever ICE finds a country who will take her. US immigration law is fundamentally cruel
Traore is in the United States legally on a 2011 “withholding of removal” order, which grants recipients legal protection from deportation to a country where they face harm or torture. She has no criminal history.
