Living under democratic backsliding forces us into a defensive crouch. But playing endless defense — reacting election-by-election — without a counterattack, means you lose. @raders.bsky.social analyzes why November isn’t just the endgame. Read the full briefing: 🔗 protdem.org/4bTflNy
Defending a free and fair election doesn’t just defeat authoritarianism, it opens the door for what comes next. Action now makes future accountability possible. Voting and defending the results creates an opportunity to fix the system so it can’t be so easily broken. To build a democracy that Americans aren’t so willing to cast aside out of anger, hatred, and frustration.

Tonight the US struck Iran near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran struck Kuwait. Kuwait activated air defenses against hostile missiles and drones. Both sides say the ceasefire is holding. A ceasefire where both sides are actively firing at each other is not a ceasefire. It is a war without an honest name.

Oct. 15, 2025
PENTAGON PRESS ASSOCIATION
STATEMENT
Today, the Defense Department confiscated the badges of the Pentagon reporters from virtually every major media organization in America. It did this because reporters would not sign onto a new media policy over its implicit threat of criminalizing national security reporting and exposing those who sign it to potential prosecution.
The Pentagon Press Association's members are still committed to reporting on the U.S. military. But make no mistake, today, Oct. 15, 2025 is a dark day for press freedom that raises concerns about a weakening U.S. commitment to transparency in governance, to public accountability at the Pentagon and to free speech for all.
