Whenever the state executes, or tries to execute someone, even if they deserve it, I always think life in prison would be better And whenever that happens, I think of this Because undoubtedly many who believe in hell naturally feel it their duty to send people there

Many people have said Jesus always stood for the oppressed I have said before and I’ll say again No he fucking didn’t Not when he said to forgive whoever strikes you hundreds of times and give your other cheek Not when he said widows should give their last mites to support rabbis and disciples

One thing I know for certain about a Republican from Utah is that he must be a sincere believer in Mormonism If he wasn’t, how could he ever be elected in Utah? If he didn’t sincerely believe his opportunities were blessings, how could a sincere believer ever hope to get away with mortgage fraud?

Whenever I see news out of the Middle East I can only ask myself one question Is this happening because the God these people believe in is real? Or because he is not? I don’t know how anyone can watch it and still believe in him And I don’t know how they expect to get away with it unless they do

The TVs are filled with ads showing Hasan Piker and Abdul El-Sayed threatening to crush America with socialism and for once it puts a smile on my face because I can feel America getting ready to admit it is already crushed and what crushed it was capitalism

People always say Jesus was a liberal It’s definitely true Jesus WAS a liberal But if he said he was going to come back & throw whoever doesn’t like him in a lake of fire then he had a mean conservative streak And if he talked that way then certainly not every knee is ever going to bow before him

What I wish US liberals, leftists and moderates all understood about Trump is that he’s like Constantine He made it the law that a father could have his daughter and her boyfriend burned alive for having premarital sex Obviously such a law was never enforced except to serve the interests of power

White supremacy never had to become Christian It always was What really happened was, Christian supremacy became white Segregation of sheep from goats was something the gospel of Christ always advertised as a selling point They advertised it so much that they promised it would last for eternity

If anyone doubts that Christian nationalists are destroying the world on purpose to keep from realizing their religion isn’t true, I invite you to read the chapters of Genesis where God sends Egypt a crisis for his chosen man to take advantage of, to enserf his free citizens and extort his neighbors

To be a Christian is to believe the Bible is a reflection of almighty benevolence And the Bible is full of cruelties and canonical inconsistencies It is useless to point to the better half of the contradiction when the worse half is missionary triumphalism leading only to an eternal holocaust

When I shared this on Facebook I got two replies from a classmate who is 2nd generation quiverfull She asked, when did I get so cynical? I should have asked, which of us is cynical? I’m not the one who thinks history leads to an eternal holocaust, and even if it does I’m not bargaining to benefit

When I was growing up, Christian nationalists told me Christian nationalism must be true because people died for it They also said anyone who killed themselves was going to hell So if a soldier in a Christian army on a Christian war attempts suidcide, that proves Christian nationalism is not true

When someone stands in front of an audience and says they have a divine right to slaughter their enemies, one of two things we know to be true, or both Either they sincerely believe what they’re saying, and are willing to die for it Or they are even more sure that their audience sincerely does

It amazes me every day that people all over the world can see people pretending to have a divine right of conquest and still believe in God anymore Certainly this could only be happening in the name of an evil God And what is the point of believing in that? What is the inevitable result?

For Abdul El-Sayed to campaign with Kamala Harris makes sense because she was the most independent candidate of Israel in my lifetime with the possible exception of Barack Obama And for Harris to campaign with El-Sayed now makes her more independent than Obama

The next party to win an election in the US with Reagan-like numbers will be the next one that pledges no more money for Israel and pledges to spend it on education and health care instead of bombs If they can’t make those pledges, they either won’t win with those numbers, or they just won’t win

According to American Christianity, if anyone can’t afford their own health care then they don’t deserve any This may seem contradictory, but it is absolutely not According to all Christianity, all things work together for good for whoever believes it, and whoever doesn’t believe it can go to hell

The only definition of socialism in the US is: anything the government does to improve someone else’s life than your own If it benefits you it’s seen as individualism Religion is the blind faith that this will arc toward justice And how many sincere believers stand athwart justice yelling ‘STOP’?

Anytime the media report a death by hanging in public and the investigators presume it was a suicide, that’s when you know the investigators are not doing their jobs and neither are the reporters This is so much malpractice, it could only happen if the investigators were in on it, and the media too

A woman from Australia is being retroactively disqualified from a race that she won because she shat herself As a man, let me just say that if a man ever finished a race after shitting himself he would certainly be praised and if he won he would be held up as a model of virtue

Billionaires should not exist Simply not even one of them I don’t know why that was so hard to see for so long or why it wasn’t immediately obvious to everyone else the first time it happened Such an accumulation of power and privilege is inimical to liberty and justice for all

I was mistaken I said Washington never freed his slaves Actually he freed everyone he was allowed to under state law The true questions are: - why he didn’t do it sooner - and why the law was in the way at all Well, the short answer to both questions is because of the Bible

The ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ are getting a woke reboot and Christian conservatives are upset I’m sure it won’t be all that woke But the very idea that a woman could lead without being an antagonist is too woke for some people Will they make it to the ‘Last Battle’ this time? Somehow I doubt it

If anyone asks about the crisis of masculinity, where being all the healthy male role models for men, first let them emulate women After they’ve done some of that I can suggest a man If any man wonders why he should emulate an atheist from long, long ago, I ask him, does he want to grow old happy?

Believe it or not, the promise of God to men, that he made women to complete them, is the main reason men believe in God anymore And perhaps it always was The truth is almost the opposite Every man started out as a female embryo & went through a sex change You could have been a woman to this day
