Trump was on a wild posting spree, even by his standards, in the past few days. He’s focused only on distraction, it seems to me. Talked about it with Laura Barrón-López on MS NOW today.

I talked a bit about the relationship between Ireland, the U.S. and the world in a new documentary broadcast on Irish TV last night. My view, for what it’s worth: Irishness shouldn’t be a narrow thing. Our history can be a path to empathy and solidarity with others.

My question to Trump about the missile strike on an Iranian school — and the lack of answers about it, 10 weeks on — seems to have struck a chord. Here are my thoughts on why the media need to be persistent, especially on matters of actual life-and-death. (From Times Radio.)

The UK will host talks about the Strait of Hormuz next week. But Trump's idea that other nations should steam up the Strait and "just TAKE" Iran's oil is...not what that's about. I discussed it with Ali Vitali on MS NOW's "Way Too Early" today.

Rev. Jesse Jackson has died at 84. No social media post could do justice to such a large and consequential life. His 1988 speech to the Democratic National Convention is easily one of the most remarkable — and personal — political addresses you’ll ever hear.
