Random historical MPLS thing I learned today, surprised I hadn't seen mentioned before: there was once an attempt to make a version of LDP that could do constraint-based traffic engineering. datatracker.ietf.org/doc/rfc3212/ Wikipedia says the IETF stopped progressing it in 2003 in favour of RSVP.

I like how INE use sub interfaces in their labs with dot1q tags to a switch and build the logical topology the way you want. I will try doing this in Containerlab.
