The paper found that when AI systems consistently affirm a user’s position, the user’s capacity for independent evaluation degrades over time.

Joanna Stern, NBC’s chief technology analyst and author of “I Am Not a Robot: My Year Using AI to Do (Almost) Everything,” has documented the creep of AI dependency in daily life. Her reporting has shown how users begin with low-stakes queries, such as what to cook for dinner or what to wear, and gradually escalate to consequential decisions about careers, finances, and relationships. The trajectory from convenience to reliance is difficult to reverse once established.

Finaliza el periodo de negociaciones del ERE en Mercurysteam y las 146 personas afectadas reciben la indemnización mínima legal. Desde la sección de CSVI-CGT hemos tomado la decisión de impugnar los despidos.

Ayer 24 de junio, se comenzaba con los despidos tras la finalización del plazo de negociación del ERE en Mercury Steam. Tras su anuncio hace más de 30 días, este despido colectivo que afecta a 146 personas en la plantilla, se ejecuta con un total de 48 despidos. Un 20% de su plantilla total recibe la indemnización mínima legal que ofrece la empresa: 20 días por año trabajado.

Desde la sección en MercurySteam de CSVI-CGT se ha vivido este proceso desde la impotencia de no poder formar parte de la Comisión Negociadora, pero en todo momento hemos intentado organizar a la plantilla, asistiendo y potenciando las asambleas de trabajadores, convocatorias de concentración, comunicación con prensa y redes sociales, entre otras acciones.
Hemos tomado la decisión, junto con la mayoría de afectados, de impugnar el ERE y llevar a juicio este proceso al considerarlo improcedente. Queda en manos de Mercury Steam justificar este despido colectivo a sus trabajadores.
