I would like for games with superpowers to stop bogging me down with guns as my primary means of engagement and focus on highlighting the powers. I have played enough games where I can hose enemies with an assault rifle. Make my workhorse weapon my ability to throw fireballs.

Gargoyles is such a fantastic example of the fact that you don't just have to keep recycling old IP if you want to build an audience. This cartoon emerged feeling so fully-formed and so confident in its storytelling that it remains a strong influence on fantasy animation to this day.
