A big failure. The argument about streaming the traffic cameras into the real-time crime center was that all the feeds were publicly available anyway, a fact that we now know to be untrue. That this happened at all erodes public trust in city government, and in surveillance cameras specifically.

Spokane implemented its first emergency street on Tuesday, 48 hours after a fatal crash killed a person on a motorcycle. A southbound lane along a section of an arterial route will be closed for 14 days as a part of the first implementation of this pilot.

This is such a cool place and a treasure in Seattle. Stop in if you are driving by to see all the cool refurbished machines they have for sale. When I moved to Seattle over a decade ago, this was one of the first places I visited with my uncle who needed his espresso machine repaired.

Update: The bike room was closed indefinitely due to a "security breach" with no ETA on reopening.

I continue to believe that a bike lane is only "protected" if it has steel beams anchored into concrete to keep drivers out.

"Protected" bike lane on Airport Way S at S Lucille Street fully blocked by the concrete barrier intended to protect it. Presumably knocked out of place by an errant driver.
