"Labour" government is mad. Their support for the ongoing genocide is unforgivable. I feel sorry for Sally Rooney. Sorrier for the pensioners still being arrested for supporting PAL. Beyond sorry for the people of Palestine being slaughtered daily by the Israelis.

Don't recognise the scene on the right but the woman on the left could have stepped right out of my local coffee shop where they still do that after roasting the beans. Don't think the hairstyle would suit Colin, though … or the dress. He never did look good in blue.

Good day dear Susan apDC. I'm back. Did you miss me? Been busy socialising and birding. Now I'm in need of a #BlueBrew to sustain my wild life. I trust you are behaving more sensibly and are tb not OTT. I have brought the usual remuneration. Rose suit you?

🪶 Good Morning! I’m covering for Helen today Today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme is: #ShoreBirds; any bird on the shore Alt. is #UrbanBirds; any bird in an Urban setting - 2 Bar-tailed Godwits & a flock of Dunlin on the sea shore #ECK #birdphotography #birdsofbluesky #naturephotography #WaderWednesday
Two Bar-tailed Godwits standing at the waters edge in front of a flock of sleeping Dunlin. The Godwit’s are centre of frame, both is side profile facing left is that their left sides are showing. The one to the right of centre has its head facing forwards and the one on the left (and slightly behind)has its head tucked under its wing.
They have long black legs and a long, dark bill, lighter towards the head. The head is a grey brown with a lighter eyebrow stripe, the upper plumage is grey-brown with light streaks throughout. The breast is whitish, mottled with grey-brown. The rump is white with bars on it and the underbelly is white.
In front of the Godwits is a flock of approximately 80 sleeping Dunlin, slightly out of focus. They run from left to right about five birds deep. They have mousey grey brown upperparts and white underparts. They have shorter, black legs and all have their heads tucked into their wings.
In the foreground centre is a large, out of focus, clump of brown seaweed. The Dunlin are standing on the sand and other clumps of seaweed are strewn behind them at the waters edge. The Godwits are standing in the water at the edge and behind them the tide is pulling out, leaving shallow water. A small breaking wave can be seen running along the top of the frame.

Yesterday I was down at Forest Row in my favourite cafe and should have popped down to the nearby Hundred Aker Wood, aka the Ashdown Forest, in Sussex, to say hello. I'm afraid they would not recognise themselves from the awful Disney illustration but that's fine. They live quietly now.
Winnie and Piglet in the Hundred Aker Wood. I recognise those trees today and have walked there with grandchildren. It's real, folks.

I was just amazed at the number of cars that kept whizzing past. Whatever were they thinking of? What could have been more important than stopping to watch a sunset? A few minutes and their day would have been 100% better. Free, too.

Morning #BlueSky ☕️ & welcome to a coastal capture bathed in golden light on a late Winters afternoon walk. Have a wonderful day friends 😌 #ECK #Photography #CoastalPhotography #PhotographyOfBlueSky #Ocean #RockinTuesday #TidesOutTuesday #ColorADay #BlueTue #Golden #PhotographersOfBlueSky #Winter
Our beautiful coastal scene captured in the fading light of late afternoon.

The photograph looks out across a broad expanse of dark blue-green sea, where gentle waves roll towards the shore, their white foam tracing delicate patterns along the water’s edge.

The shoreline curves gracefully into the distance on the right, where a golden-brown pebble beach glows warmly in the low sunlight.

In the foreground, a concrete slipway descends towards the water, bordered by a dark metal railing and scattered rocks of varying sizes.

The warm, amber light catches the pebbles and stones, creating a striking contrast with the cooler tones of the sea.

Above, a vast turquoise sky dominates the scene, streaked with wispy, feather-like clouds.

Near the horizon, the sky softens into muted pastel shades of pink, peach and pale blue. Tiny lights from distant buildings twinkle along the coastline with a nearby seaside town settling into evening.

The composition beautifully contrasts the rugged textures of the foreground with the smooth, sweeping lines of the sea and sky.

Rich golden highlights meet deep shadows, giving the photograph a cinematic, almost dreamlike quality.

There is a wonderful sense of solitude and tranquillity here.

The rhythmic movement of the waves, the fading daylight and the distant glow of the coastline combine to capture a peaceful moment where land, sea and sky meet beneath the quiet beauty of the approaching night.

Finally, our picture today is finished with a simple with border frame.

The biggest lie the Tories ever told (with the help of their media troops) was of their fiscal competence. Like their counterparts, the US Republicans, they always leave the economy in a worse state than they find it then blame the incoming opposition. Brexit was incompetence writ large.
