For National Poetry Day, another favourite of mine and brother, Ginsberg knew what he was talking about.
Howl By Allan Ginsberg
Coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine
Gotta, gotta be down, because I want it all
It started out with a kiss, how did it end up like this?
It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss
Now I'm falling asleep and she's calling a cab
While he's having a smoke and she's taking a drag
Now they're going to bed and my stomach is sick
And it's all in my head, but she's touching his
Chest now, he takes off her
Dress now, let me go
And I just can't look, it's killing me
They're taking control

In Barcelona the city commissions and builds public housing schemes which are 100% for social rent and just look at the quality. They do this for around €2400 per m2 which is very cheap compared to UK! Oh - and this project has a secret. The structure is timber. Low-carbon. Quick to build.

In a lot of ways, the environmentalism of my parents' generation didn't ask anyone to sacrifice anything. People still drove (but it was a Prius), lived in the burbs (but with a beautiful garden), bought supermarket food (but bought organic). It was an aesthetic choice as much as anything. 🧵
