If fuel taxes are to be cut then I want those supporting (govt/tds/protestors) those tax cuts to state what other public services/projects are going to be underfunded/cancelled to pay for those cuts. Let the electorate know the cost of those cuts. And then seen how much support they have #speirgorm

Ah, right. No moves for reduction in public transport costs, or expansion of bus and train routes; no push for investment in housing, healthcare or regeneration of rural towns and villages. Mé féiners exploiting justified anger and hurt, to turn people against each other. #spéirghorm #ireland

The silver washed fritillary evolved to lay its eggs in the bark crevices of oak trees. When the caterpillars hatch, they drop to the ground and seek out dog violet, the plant they evolved to eat. No oak or violet, no silver washed fritillaries. Get it? That's why native species matter: evolution.

So the commuter who helps reduce carbon emissions gets penalised while those who held the country up to ransom have been rewarded. Meanwhile we’re hurtling towards a climate crisis as global heating gets worse and worse.

The extremely remote, deserted pre-famine village of Coimín na Gaorthaidh, meaning "commonage of the wooded river valley". Almost no trees now remain. The clues to the ecological catastrophe that has befallen the Irish landscape are so often in the place names.
