ALL men benefit from male violence, because it allows you to think you’re a good person because you haven’t assaulted a woman. That does not make you a good person, but you have collectively put that bar in hell.

K the Tremendous Autistic Horror Show 🔪🎃 @dropoutninja.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
I can tell you that the autistic community called it in June 2020 when Rowling first wrote about autistics being "pressured" into turning trans the anti-vaxx movement already uses us as pawns, we knew the TERFs were coming for us next cause autistic and trans rights are both about bodily autonomy
Most people probably aren’t aware – I certainly wasn’t, until I started researching this issue properly – that ten years ago, the majority of people wanting to transition to the opposite sex were male. That ratio has now reversed. The UK has experienced a 4400% increase in girls being referred for transitioning treatment. Autistic girls are hugely overrepresented in their numbers.

The same phenomenon has been seen in the US. In 2018, American physician and researcher Lisa Littman set out to explore it. In an interview, she said:

‘Parents online were describing a very unusual pattern of transgender-identification where multiple friends and even entire friend groups became transgender-identified at the same time. I would have been remiss had I not considered social contagion and peer influences as potential factors.’

It’s so cute to see everyone having fun with this, you might enjoy the other story about Covid this morning, about a young mom with long covid who killed herself, possibly partially because her husband describes it as her being “obsessed” with her health and “refusing” to get out of bed. Funny, yeah?

being so fr when I say that transmisogyny has put feminism back like 50 years

seravph
what i thought we had distanced ourselves from was the reduction of women to vaginas and wombs and the ability to bear children. i thought we had progressed past 'dresses are for women and pants are for men. i thought we progressed past the idea that someone is less of a woman if she does not adhere strictly to beauty standards. i thought we progressed past the idea that naturally being comfortable adhering to highly feminine standards is vulgar. but i (sarcastically) guess no one could have predicted that trans-exclusive feminism would be the downfall of all the progress we've made

the majority of cis people would rather die than be forced to undergo unwanted transition. cis men in particular would go on killing sprees to protest being forcibly injected with estrogen. and yet this is the condition they expect trans people--trans kids especially--to accept as a given

this is not even a bit new, access to bathrooms especially has been a plank of every marginalized group’s fight for & civil liberties in the past 100+ years and if you’re a person falling for/a candidate messaging on “not in our spaces” right now, we know who you would’ve been in those fights, too.
The history of bathroom segregation and politicization can be traced back centuries. Along with the right to vote, the suffrage movement fought for women (well, cis women) to have access to their own public toilets. Bathrooms were also a core feature of Jim Crow bigotry, with facilities divided between men, women, and "colored" people. Here Black men and women were denied gender-specific facilities, simultaneously conflated and ungendered. While the comparison between cis-only bathrooms and whites-only bathrooms doesn't fully cohere, the struggles are certainly interconnected; there's a clear racialization to how sex is constructed in the public eye, as C. Riley Snorton has chronicled in Black on Both Sides, a history that dives into the degendering of Black women. Meanwhile, Black civil rights groups like the NAACP have fought in support of trans rights over the years.
During the 1970s, opponents of the Equal Rights Amendment used fears that it would mandate unisex toilets to aid their successful campaign to tank the law. Bathroom issues continued during the '80s and '90s during the HIV/AIDS epidemic, when some wanted gay men to be banned from public facilities. Queers, like trans people, weren't considered family-friendly. They were seen as potential groomers or vectors of disease.
There were gains interspersed within these cycles of backlash. The Architectural Barriers Act of 1968 and the Disabilities Act of 1990 mandated that bathrooms be made accessible towards people with disabilities. And by 2016, there seemed to be enough of a consensus around bathroom access that standing up for trans people's right to pee was a mainstream position.
So how did we get to where we are now? Wedge issues, of course.

Are men emotional? A story in three parts.
A Twitter conversation beginning with a man named Spike who says, men are far more logical and rational than women. Amber summerson replies, then why are most crimes committed by men? Spike responds, because we are more physically aggressive. Women are aggressive in other forms. Men fight and kill over status.

Cooper streaming replies, and what would you say makes you more aggressive? Testosterone?A continuation of the previous conversation where Spike replies to Cooper. Cooper streaming says and what would you say makes you aggressive? Testosterone? Spike says, Yeah baby, and posts a gift of a South Park character with muscles in a shirt that says beefcake. Cooper replies and what is testosterone?Spike responds a hormone why are you asking me stupid questions? Cooper replies so men act aggressive because they're hormonal?

Cooper then replies to her own post saying I'll fill in the blank cuz you don't seem smart. Rage aggressiveness and anger are all emotions. Shouting screaming and punching things are losing control of set emotions. Because men are emotional. Thanks to hormones.

Even the Luddites weren't Luddites. What they hated was the way new tech was being used, in a capitalist framework, to screw workers -- instead of being used to make their lives better with increased pay and reduced work hours. Smashing machines is entirely rational when they're owned by your enemy.
