I don't wear a lot of jewelry anymore, but I decided to wear some of my parents' stuff to the big work event this past Saturday. It's pretty and I wanted to share. The opal necklace was Mom's; she got it in Mexico in the '70s. The ring was Dad's wedding ring; they married in 1980.

as is just and right, the #pocket is finished the day before I need it. I ran out of white bias tape, so I used extra white cotton ribbon. Looks okay. I can always restitch later. Muslin front & lining, linen back. Silk/wool yarn couched with silk thread. #embroidery

I have been in Vancouver, WA since Sunday because I had to take the car to the dealer for recall repairs. (They said it would probably take two days.) I was woken this morning at 6:20 by the fire alarm. I called the dealership at 11 and left a voicemail. I extended my stay. I just want to go home. 😭
