Working my way through the ships of the Eridani system today. The belt dwellers refer to their home as "The Reef", so many of the ships get a bit of Expanse-meets-marine life vibe. Marauding Nomad clans get a little sharky, while the biomechanical Shell & their Samudari vassals are, well, shells.

I like this account, but man is this a good example of programmer brain. Folks who do computer like having a better computer, but! The robots can't do art, and (I will wager) will never do art, because the point of the arts is to express what is inside a human soul. (Robots, in my case, ironically)

Finally going through my photos from our trip to the Southwest. We spent the last few days with family in New Mexico, and good lord was the weather dramatic. One evening it was simultaneously raining, sunny, thunderstormy, double rainbowed, and smokey from nearby wildfires.
