The situation with FurAffinity is pretty amazing. Advertisers threatened their advertising revenue because they considered Plus Sized characters and characters HUGGING to be adult content. So FA said fuck off, and in two days raised their entire yearly funding. Advertisers are so bullshit stupid.

You can apply for multiple roles!

Photographers / Videographers (Media Team) we want you to capture the event's moments while they happen! Take photos, videos, ect! We use these as promo material & genuine memories for all.
Cam Ops should be familiar with streaming with OBS and preferably (but not required) VRClens. Your PC should be able to show most avatars in a full world.
TDs should be familiar with using a Stream Deck / Companion.
Both Cam Ops & TDroles should be comfortable working in a live environment with the rapid decision making that comes with that.

Availability should ideally be for at least 2-3 hours per event, though that's not a hard requirement of course and any amount you can do is helpful.

Things to note about Club Bark before applying:
We are an 18+ event
Our VRC world is PCVR only
Our event is EU timezone-- our events which usually starts around this is more so important for those who must be present at the event itself such as Photographers/Videographers, Security, Stream Ops, and Cam Ops
All timezones are welcome to apply, but please keep this in mind!
These are NOT paid positions! All of this is volunteer work

Your work stays yours!

There are a lot of people who make things for Club Bark. This is our promise to the creators who have chosen to volunteer their time. I want to put it here, out in the open, rather than hide it in an onboarding document or an internal file.

If you create something original for Bark, it’s still yours. Artwork, music, world assets, lighting, posters, video or code, it was never ours. You may have made it for us, and with us, but it belongs to you!

Use it, share it, change it, sell it, build your portfolio around it. The only thing we ask in return is that we can keep using what you made as part of Club Bark, so that if you move on one day, the island doesn't have to come apart behind you.

You get credited, too. Not just "Where possible" but by default! Your name goes on the poster you made. If you built something into the world, people should be able to find out who built it. If we release a downloadable asset, your name goes with it. And if there's ever a case where we can't credit you somewhere, we'll come to you and explain why rather than quietly leave it off.

Bark exists to celebrate the many forms of talent within VRChat. We have 3D artists, world builders, lighting artists, graphic designers, video editors, web developers, musicians and many others working with us.

Nobody's work should ever vanish into an anonymous event machine, and nobody's contribution should get scrubbed just because they eventually moved on.

The event is called Club Bark, but every texture, every light cue, every original piece of music and every line of code was made by a person with a name. Those names stay!

I dream of being rich enough to say, "Treat's on me," without thinking twice. Rich enough to have a home that feels like a hug, a fridge stocked like a five-year-old with adult money, and a tray of chocolates waiting for someone to grab. Rich enough to quietly help a friend before they even have to ask. To send a care package when someone's too tired to reach out. To buy all the pencils from a kid on the street so they can go home early. For me, the real money dream isn't about luxury - it's about having enough to give, enough to comfort, enough to turn ordinary moments into something extraordinary.

This concept was introduced to me as "run the dishwasher twice" and was an important part of my executive functioning recovery as well as my path to self-acceptance.

When I was at one of my lowest (mental) points in life, I couldn't get out of bed some days. I had no energy or motivation and was barely getting by.

I had therapy once per week, and on this particular week I didn't have much to 'bring' to the session. He asked how my week was and I really had nothing to say.

'What are you struggling with?' he asked.

I gestured around me and said 'I dunno man. Life.'

Not satisfied with my answer, he said 'No, what exactly are you worried about right now? What feels overwhelming? When you go home after this session, what issue will be staring at you?'

I knew the answer, but it was so ridiculous that I didn't want to say it. I wanted to have something more substantial.
Something more profound.

But I didn't.

So I told him, 'Honestly? The dishes. It's stupid, I know, but the more I look at them the more I CAN'T do them because I'll have to scrub them before I put them in the dishwasher, because the dishwasher sucks, and I just can't stand and scrub the dishes.'

I felt like an idiot even saying it.

What kind of grown ass woman is undone by a stack of dishes? There are people out there with *actual* problems, and I'm whining to my therapist about dishes?

But he nodded in understanding and then said:

'RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE.'

I began to tell him that you're not supposed to, but he stopped me.

'Why the hell aren't you supposed to? If you don't want to scrub the dishes and your dishwasher sucks, run it twice. Run it three times, who cares?! Rules do not exist.'

It blew my mind in a way that I don't think I can properly express.

That day, I went home and tossed my smelly dishes haphazardly into the dishwasher and ran it three times.

I felt like I had conquered a dragon.

The next day, I took a shower lying down.

A few days later. I folded my laundry and put them wherever the fuck they fit.

There were no longer arbitrary rules I had to follow, and it gave me the freedom to make accomplishments again.

Now that I'm in a healthier place, I rinse off my dishes and put them in the dishwasher properly. I shower standing up. I sort my laundry.

But at a time when living was a struggle instead of a blessing, I learned an incredibly important lesson:

THERE ARE NO RULES. RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE!!!"

Found this gate in York. It had a standard lock, plus a padlock and a chain holding it shut. It was very very securely closed. The only thing on the other side is a blank wall. The only conclusion I can make is that this is a magic portal to hell.

I think the thing I resent most about gen AI- and this is a selfish thing to say but it’s true- is that it’s put an asterix on my sense of wonder. What I mean is that now when I see an amazing or beautiful image I can’t have that initial “wow!” reaction. I doubt. I have to verify. I hate it.
