Are there like, any discord servers that are just Mainers (or people in nearby states) looking to make friends? There is almost NOBODY my age (mid-thirties) to hang out with in Maine and certainly nobody in my area, and the isolation is turning my brain to mush.

I wish there were more ppl my age to hang out with in Maine. Where I live, it's a nursing home. Local community events are things like "Geezers in Sneakers," just 60-70-year-olds meeting up weekly to walk around town. All the 35-year-olds moved to other states and left me behind. I'm 35 but feel 55.

There’s also the issue of public perception. Anti mask sentiment is a problem and people have been harassed, assaulted, spit on & more just for wearing a mask. When you pass a mask ban, even with a medical exemption, you reinforce the notion that masking is “wrong”. It emboldens anti-maskers:

Mask bans are the new 21st century Ugly Laws. If you are nondisabled and are able to wear a mask/respirator, PLEASE DO as much as possible— in public, at events, and **especially** in healthcare settings. Normalize them. When masks are illegal in public, disabled people are illegal in public.
