I set my gf up with some Tomb Raider on my Xbox and it's fun watching a baby gamer realize that video games are awesome and for everyone at any age.

I can't really say whether I like BlueSky enough to stay on it, but I think that may take months or even a year to know

It's more like the content is fucking boring and that actually does piss me off more than twitter does :'(

Fanfiction etiquette is incredibly simple, actually. Don't like it, don't read it. No one is forcing you to, which is why it looks ridiculous to complain about it, especially if you were content warned. AO3 tags + "exclude" is one of the greatest reading tools ever. Use them properly and voila!

A lil tip for the folks with shoe polish on their lips today :)

Excerpt from Timothy Snyder's "On Tyranny:"

"1. Do not obey in advance."

"Most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. In times like these, individuals think ahead about what a more repressive government will want, and then offer themselves without being asked. A citizen who adapts in this way is teaching power what it can do."

I do think it’s time to remake Citizen Kane now. With everything. The multiple wives, Grimes, X Æ A-12, the youthful idealism of a sort, Tesla, Mars, the weird robots, the sense of a human being *decaying* in front of your eyes.
