When Pring said it was "perfectly legitimate" for a reporter to challenge him about such an influential report - which carries significant safeguarding risks - Milburn said: "It's perfectly legitimate to fucking doorstep me, is it?"

Milburn then told him again to "go through the right channels" and nudged him with his arm.
