it’s tiresome but I think we have to keep asking these guys, so—who benefits from convincing people reading and writing doesn’t matter anymore

PUBLISHING BLOG: 6 hours after returning home from the incredible NY Art Book Fair at 1 AM, I started processing mail orders that came while I was away. It's work that has to be done, but it's also work I love to do. Self-publishing is hard, but I am my favorite boss I've ever had.

I spent the day tabling and then co-facilitating a workshop at the NY Art Book Fair. It was a very busy day and the fair is packed. There are still two more days to go if you would like to attend. Sojourners for Justice Press is at table T39. I will not be there this weekend but do stop by.

A form of success in the arts that should be taught more widely is to live and make and convey what you are about in such a way that people only reach out to invite you to be part of things that are meaningful and interesting. No one achieves this 100% but it's wonderful to avoid a lot of bullshit.
