💚 Contributor Spotlight 💚 Please give a warm welcome to Nele Shn (@neleshn.bsky.social), joining our last volume as a fic writer contributor! 📝 Check out her previous work & get excited to see her zine piece for Volume III 🐱🐰 of Golden Haven: A Charity Zine Collection. 💗

The left side of the green graphic shows a writing snippet that reads "Every time he holds Yoongi's hand, he knows that this feeling is what love is supposed to be.
To him, Yoongi's hands are filled with stars - they litter his skin like a million beauty marks.
At night, Taehyung swears he could see them shine as beautifully as the sky above.
When his hands dance over his piano, Taehyung follows the movements of his fingers, how they leave stardust behind on every key they press. And when Taehyung reaches out and holds tightly onto them, he wonders if his own hands would sparkle just as beautifully if he just held on for long enough.”

Nele Shn (she/her) is a writer and can be found on Twitter at Nele_shn and Bluesky at neleshn.

The following text is shown: “About Me: Hi, my name is Nele. I'm a writer and I'm looking forward to participating in the third volume of this zine as well^^
What about Yoonkook makes you think "golden"? The way it sounds when they do music together.”

🪷 As the creation period comes to close, check out the WIP from Vol. III's 'A Broken Heart' section, written by our writer contributor, Nele (@neleshn.bsky.social). ✍️

A dark green square graphic with golden colored font reads "GOLDEN HAVEN vol. 3 SNEAK PEAK" followed by a lily pad framing the writing snippet: "They're one of those couples. Always attached by the hip, and so obviously in love it's almost painful to watch. They tease each other, bicker, laugh, but at the end of the day, it doesn't take more than a glance to see how incredibly deep their feelings for each other run.

Yoongi and Jungkook are the kind of couple that make even the most self-proclaimed single yearn for a relationship like theirs.

But Taehyung is smarter than that." written by @neleshn.

pink square behind snippet that reads,

"The sudden weight being put on Yoongi’s head startles him. It’s much heavier than anticipated.

The weight of his crown.

Below, the crowd finally bows to him — an honor he always thought impossible to receive.

A part of him dreaded the weight of his people’s crown on his head during the past days but the heaviness grounds him. It makes him feel as if he’s standing on his own two feet. Until this moment, everything still felt unreal at times — how much he and everyone had changed."

the words "what about yoongi makes you think 'safe haven'?" with the following answer: "Yoongi’s entire person to be honest but mostly his words. Whether it’s what he casually says to the people around him or his lyrics."

🌺 As our second creation period comes to close, check out the WIPs from Vol. II's Healing of the Mind section, written by our writer contributor, Nele (@neleshn.bsky.social). ✍️

GOLDEN HAVEN vol. 2 SNEAK PEEK
Yoongi starts as slowly as he needs to. First, he tries sitting on the bench, getting comfortable with it again. Then, little by little, he lets his fingers get used to the smooth texture of the keys again, but he doesn't press down yet.
Many days pass like this until finally, Yoongi finds the courage to play a note.
The clear sound is like a breath of fresh air, just like it's terrifying at the same time. As if being burned, he pulls his fingers away.

square graphic with purple-gray background and purple stars in the bottom right corner and a purple line down the right side.

Guiding Light Fest in cursive text at the top right, on the left side of the line.

A thick purple banner from the left side of the graphic with the words "To The Core" in white text

"Taegi" in paragraph style text followed by "Explicit.", "1 of ?", and "11930" in modern style fonts. Each word is separated by a purple asterisk

"Dystopia. Genetic Engineering. Violence. Amnesia. Angst. Torture. Enemies to Lovers" in modern-style font and italicized.

Followed by a modern style text text "A powerful but traumatized guide and an unstable sentinel only existing to be used as a weapon.

Taehyung doesn’t care much about the sentinel he has to work with, he is more interested in the strings the people above them are pulling in the shadows. But stepping behind the curtain leads him down a rabbit hole he wasn’t prepared for — and it might change his view and his feelings of the sentinel by his side.

“Get away from me!” Yoongi hisses, pressing himself closer into the corner, struggling against his restraints.

Taehyung sighs, trying to hide the slight pinch of annoyance in his voice as he closes the distance between him and the sentinel. “It'll be easier if you don't struggle.”

Is there a way for them to look past their differences and the roles they’re forced to play in a world on the brink of falling apart?"

🌸 As the 1st creation period comes to close, check out the WIPs from Vol. I's Hope in Loss section, shared by some of our contributors. 💛 Art by Leigh (@uarmyugh.bsky.social) 💜 Writing by Sea (@krescentkoo.bsky.social), Nele (@neleshn.bsky.social), Mizha (@agustdbot.bsky.social)

SNEAK PEEK: HOPE IN LOSS
"As he lies in his crater, tears staining his cheeks, viewing home from an unreachable distance, Jungkook wonders if that makes him an outsider now, too. His tears are interrupted by a sharp beam of light." - sea @krescentkoo
"Now, his chest is filled with a greedy bitterness that feasts on any happy memory he may have had before. A numbing black mass fills his stomach and he wishes he would never have to see this store again. Three steps lead up to the store." - nele @Bandit4Life
Jungkook WIP art by Leigh @uarmyugh
"He breathes the fresh, crisp air into his lungs and smiles distantly when the moon peers through the thick clouds for a fleeting moment. Jungkook clings to that sliver of light and clutches his knees to his chest. When Yoongi is here, he feels more loved than anyone else on this earth. Jungkook easily falls into sync with Yoongi which has come with months of practice." - mizha @93kooker
