my sweet girl had an operation today and was very brave about it ❤️🥺

my tuxedo cat bella laying on a mustard yellow cushion upon a bed. behind her there are two larger black cushions and a small white one with a face on it. she looks beautiful and majestic and i understand why so many cultures regard cats so highly when they look like this.

i haven’t seen anyone speaking about this on here yet. namjoon has been removed from the pixel projects list of male role models. he was listed as one of the top male role models helping to stop violence against women in 2024

screenshot from the pixel projects website that reads:

Effective today, we are indefinitely suspending RM from our list of male role models.
We will also be reviewing and revising our Father's Day 2025 op-ed that featured RM as a case study of a good but imperfect male role model.

the second part of the page is on a box with a stamp across the text that reads “indefinitely suspended” making the text underneath it bared to read. it is an excerpt from the article that listed him as one of the top male role models helping to stop violence against women from 2024.

The Pixel Project had been waiting for RM to issue a public statement or acknowledgement regarding the Chris Brown concert before we responded to this controversy. However, it has been a week of silence on RMs part and that silence is deafening.
BTS is currently the biggest boy band in the world; their every action has a huge impact and influence on pop culture and the global audience. Whether they like it or not, they are public role models by default, and with this great power comes great responsibility. We have never expected any male role model to be perfect. Everyone is human after all. But being a decent human being also means being accountable when your choices hurt other people.RMs choice to take that photo with Brown is, at best, careless about the wider damaging impact that comes from publicly associating with a known abuser whose track record of violence is so extensive there is a Wikipedia page dedicated to it.
Intent does not always align with impact. Even if RM did not intend for that picture to be a public endorsement of an abuser or violence against women, their level of fame means that they have automatically platformed Brown in front of their millions of fans and the general public. In doing so, they have contributed to perpetuating the system that normalises violent men facing minimal consequences for gender-based violence. This is despite having a fandom that is at least 90% women and girls.Additionally, as the outpouring of messages, posts, and comments across social media from ARMYs shows, the public association between both BTS members and Brown evident in the snapshot has also inflicted harm intended or not by causing mental and emotional distress to many ARMYs, some of whom are survivors of domestic and sexual violence. To date, the negative ramifications of the picture of RM, JHope, and Chris Brown continue to ripple out. Brown clearly perceives it as RM and JHopes support for him and has gone after a female ARMY for speaking out about him

I'm disappointed in namjoon and hobi, but im mainly so exhausted and jaded by how 'normal' it is in our world for so many (men especially) to not take misogyny and abuse seriously enough. I just wish what chris brown did made more men feel as disgusted by him as his vile actions actually deserve.

This one hit the mark. 💜🫰🏽 Enough said.

Oh please read this 💜
“That’s the part the Grammys should be mourning.
Because they had something extraordinarily rare: one of the biggest acts in the world genuinely valued their recognition.

And they squandered it.

Year after year, BTS showed up. Performed. Smiled. Brought the audience. Generated the headlines. Treated the nomination like an honor. Allowed the Grammy to remain positioned as something worth chasing.

Until eventually the chase became more embarrassing for the institution dangling the prize than for the artists who hadn’t received it.

And now, after BTS finally stopped running, the Grammys want to explain that they’ve created MORE opportunities for recognition?

Baby, the opportunity expired.

You had seven global superstars standing at your door believing what was inside mattered.

You kept them waiting so long they built something bigger outside.”

i have not shared a #wipwednesday in a hot minute so pls enjoy this taejin offering

Perhaps it is the dim flickering of the candle that makes him feel brave, or the ever growing sadness in his chest that causes him a moment of weakness, but after a while of laying there, eyes burning into the ceiling as he blinks back tears again and again, he whispers out a quiet, "Seokjin?" checking to see if he is awake.

"Yes?" The whispered response comes instantly.

Taehyung tilts his head to the side, chancing a look at Seokjin. He is laid in the same position as Taehyung, on his back with his head towards the ceiling. The candles glint in his eyes, so Taehyung knows he must be watching the shadows dance on the ceiling, too.

"Do you think-" Taehyung starts, swallowing as he grows nervous. "Would you—"He pauses again, blinking back at the ceiling.

Seokjin does not rush him. He doesn't interrupt or huff out a laugh at Taehyung's stuttering. He doesn't even move, keeping his eyes firmly above the bed while Taehyung gathers his thoughts.

"Can you hold me?" He whispers it so quietly, breathed out into the orange tinted darkness that he worries Seokjin won't hear him.

bangtan are legendary artists and we are seeing them move as such ... it is no longer a question of "what awards will you win?" or "what size venues will you perform at?", but "how much integrity will you have while being at the top?" we are seeing the answer to that 😌
