Straight up one of the things I value most is the genre community we've built up here in Scotland, so I really adored last year's inaugural Picton. So many people from all walks of the genre - creative, academic, commercial - all celebrating what we do in brilliantly laid-back company. Amazing vibe.

Today @ Fringe: - suitcases full of stories - Dick and Anne solve a beastly murder - a harrowing tale of love in Pripyat - the most middle class of standups - singing along with Tia Kofi and Flo & Joan - going out with a Cabapocalypsaret Which is about as varied a programme as I could manage.

Primus we're truly mighty at the Barras tonight. I especially liked: - the woman who entertained the queue to get in with questions out of the Bullseye Ultimate Quiz Book - the fisherman song, the mud song and the beaver song - the endless groove - the excellent company of @ruthejbooth.bsky.social
A three piece band - guitar left, bass and vocals right, drums centre back - bathed in red and gold play under a ceiling of diamonds.
