Very much like merely-very-good players Kobe Bryant and Derek Jeter *performed* being all-time greats in a way that fooled most people, Ditka performed "tough old school football coach" so comprehensively that people believed him to be that thing despite ample evidence he sucked ass

They spent a Ukraine aid package worth of money on changing all the signs and letterheads and in 2029 we're gonna have to spend another pile of money on changing them back while the press (derogatory, slur) yells at us for wasting money

I get emotional which you “aren’t supposed to do” but i despise these people. I will get teary eyed if a black woman, a jewish man, a latina, a disabled man destroy these people. They are scum who have hurt so many people while taking Christ name and godliness in vain

Ive been drinking to celebrate but yea fuck it. This feels so good to see Jackson AES and Ossoff treat their Republican opponents with the respect they deserve which is none. Collins is a miserable c-word, the other Collins is a klansman, and Rogers is a overrated bigot.

An amazingly stark example of how the US economy has broken: Zaslav clears nearly a *billion* dollars amid a CEO tenure where he made basically anything he touched worse, harmed multiple prestigious brands, led huge layoffs—but delivered a corrupt merger for shareholders. variety.com/2026/tv/news...

Ossoff is like he was made in a lab to win votes in the Fox valley during a presidential election. Just could not sound or look more like a guy who should be president.

We certainly agree on this. Managers are a symptom of organizational health which is primarily an aspect of talent acquisition, management, and good (i.e. doing as little as possible) ownership. No manager can "fix" that but they certainly as hell can break it worse

Navy SEALs testified to seeing Eddie Gallagher murder a schoolgirl for fun and he's a welcome guest at Mar a Lago. I don't give a shit about Hasan, I preferred having him rot in a cell forgotten than granting the martyrdom he wants but the context here is which murders Trump & Hegseth are a fan of.

My hot take is we should return to pennant races, outlaw interleague, and move every team back east of the Mississippi. Having a season defining playoff game at 9pm on a Wed is criminal behavior.

What's really terrifying for the GOP is that 2 (NC and WI) easier Dem flips are up in '28 and what could make this environment better between now and then? It's not like Trump won't be president and if he ain't, who's the big man?? Vance!?!

This literally happens every 30-40 years in politics across the democratic world. Norms change when generational change over occurs and that's what we are seeing now.

No no it's demographic change. 30-40ish years ago the political dynamic shifted and now we are seeing it again, because again all the boomers are now dying and millennials are the dominant generation.
