From the JC Reddit board: apparently, Councilman Griffin’s instagram account posted a (wildly inaccurate, since deleted) AI-generated flood map this morning.
AI slop flood map of Jersey City. Almost everything is wrong.Instagram comments on the post pointing out that the flood map is mislabeled and wrong and at the non-emergency numbers provided for the fire department and police department are also wrong.

No matter how many flyers you put up or how many trainings you do, there are still ppl who don't know what to do. In New Jersey, if you see 🧊 kidnapping your neighbors call (888) 347-3767. They just had to take someone they were trying to kidnap away in an ambulance in my neighborhood.

Fun fact — and reminder: For all their focus on “officer safety” and arguments about aggressive tactics being necessary, no ICE officer has ever been killed in the line of duty. It is more deadly in the US to be an elementary school student than an ICE officer.

Helluva story by Chicago journalists tracking down the same ICE agents terrorizing people in Virginia, Minneapolis and Chicago. Remember this exchange from January in MN? Same guy as this week in Virginia.
“You’re not gonna like the outcome of this, sir. I guarantee you’re not going to like the outcome,” Lagunas tells the driver. “Go home to your children. It’s Sunday. You did not learn from what just happened? Go home to your kids.”

“Learned what?” the man filming asks.
