Halloween is coming. You don’t have to go to a “trunk-or-treat” event in Seattle! You can close your neighborhood street to through-traffic – for free! Trick-or-Streets permits are free and easy to get. Join here: seattle.gov/transportation/trick-or-streets
The ancient two-panel Drake meme. On the top, he's looking away in disgust and holding his hand up. The text next to it says "Truck-or-treat". On the bottom, he looks pleased and is pointing toward text that says "Close your street".

Wilson's budget has me thinking about how Mayor Harrell wasted ~500k that CM Morales earmarked to do safety projects on LWB doing outreach, and then got a million+ $ grant from the state for the LWB safety project that had to be returned when he only let SDOT do a quarter of the project.

This, coupled with walkdontrun-sea.org yesterday turned a lovely Saturday into an amazing weekend for my wife and I. Art, music, food, people, chance encounters with friends, etc. etc. Seattle can really show out sometimes - given the space and the opportunity.

I spent "way too much money" on a electric family bike in 2014. It has thousands of miles on it at this point, and now that gas prices are so high, I have even more incentive to take it everywhere. Hardware store, Costco, etc. etc. etc.

I’ve been hoping SDOT would 100% take over traffic enforcement from SPD and to automate it for years. This is a great step toward saner streets.

I'd love to live in a world where the choice between believing an American Corporation did its best and believing a repressive regime was an obvious one. China could just as easily be heaping misery on a foreign company to prop up domestic EVs as Tesla could be failing to meeting QC marks.
