-late at night then maybe form your own late night book club with like-minded people. Pool your resources and start a mini library or even a club. It’s one thing to suggest an idea and hope someone else just does it for you, but you can make things happen if you want them bad enough.

I can’t respond within the “Libraries should be open as late as bars” thread but I feel it’s worth pointing out that people tend to forget that what they think of as a library is more specifically a *public* library. Those are government funded. If you just want to hang out somewhere quiet & chill-

Raven Sherman, a character from Milton Caniff's comic strip Terry and the Pirates. The character died on this date in 1941 and the decision to kill her off shocked fans of the strip. HP will probably always be a cultural staple, at least for a couple more generations, but it’s not a tree that will perpetually grow money for its rights holders. The parks still make money, people do still watch the movies, but they haven’t had one truly successful spinoff and that worries them.

And since I guess people need a reminder: Abortion was an issue we were supposed to "compromise" on to win back "reasonable" conservative voters and instead what we got was Roe V. Wade overturned and trans rights are also about body autonomy.

As a reminder, the most marginalized voters are not the ones who typically "protest" vote or "purity test" but vote to reduce harm AND turn out. It's white cis voters who consistently fuck it all up for everyone else by voting for fascists.
