The proposals by the government to allow skilled workers who have been recognised as victims of modern slavery to work in any sector is step forward, but it leaves huge gaps. First off, there is ample evidence that it has become increasingly difficult to be recognised as a victim of modern slavery.
screenshot from government announcement to changes to skilled worker visa to support victims of moderns slavery:

Changes to Appendix Skilled Worker to support victims of modern slavery

The sponsorship system is designed to ensure overseas recruits have a genuine job to come to, will be paid appropriately, and can enjoy their employment rights. However, we have seen instances of Skilled Worker visa holders who entered the UK in good faith, complied with the terms of their visa and have experienced exploitation. This is simply unacceptable. Our crackdown on rogue employers continues and this includes taking action against sponsors who have exploited or enslaved their workers. To date, UKVI have revoked more than 7500 sponsor licenses, including 1800 in the care sector alone. But we recognise there is more to be done to ensure that victims are protected and supported by our Immigration system, as set out in the Immigration White Paper.

To ensure that victims of exploitation do not face further vulnerabilities, the changes we are making now allow victims who entered the UK legally and have been recognised as victims of modern slavery, to undertake work in any occupation for the remaining duration of the visa validity. This incentivises victims to come forward early and guards against those who seek to weaponise the sponsorship system in order to exploit vulnerable workers.

Na’amod spoke to @haaretzcom about the @jlc.uk and Board of Deputies' disgraceful response to reports of UK government measures to sanction trade with illegal Israeli settlements.
Na'amod, an anti-occupation Jewish group, said it "welcomed" the measures reported this week, saying "it is the minimum response" to Israel's ongoing unlawful actions.Na'amod, in a statement to Haaretz, said: "British restraint in the last three years alone has coincided with 68 new settlements, record settler violence, tens of thousands of Palestinians forcibly displaced and a land-registration regime Israeli ministers describe as annexation. This restraint has a map and a death toll."The group also rejected the Board of Deputies' argument that focusing "narrowly" on Israeli government actions "fuels a climate of hatred [...] towards British Jews."

"That argument only works if British Jews are answerable for what Israel does. We reject that premise absolutely," Na'amod said."The harsh reality is none of these actions have had any influence on the situation on the ground," the JLC said, warning that "broad, untargeted measures may inadvertently become a wider boycott of Israel."

Na'amod rejected that argument as well, saying that "contrary to the Jewish Leadership Council's statement, Britain is not 'singling out' Israel. Britain already restricts trade with illegally occupied Ukrainian territory. What is exceptional is that Britain has spent years applying a different standard to illegal Israeli settlements."
