I am watching what is happening in Minneapolis on Ali Velshi and one of the ICE officers (off camera) literally says, “It’s like Call of Duty. Pretty cool huh?” as they shoot whatever it is they are shooting. Agents walking around, guns unholstered for no reason. This is insanity

Nancy’s trauma isn’t just a shield—it’s her all-access backstage pass out of accountability. Got a constituent with a real question? Out comes the “as a survivor” card, and poof—responsibility disappears quicker than her dignity at a frat house kegger. open.substack.com/pub/jojofrom...

A Black man just beat the record for the longest filibuster, defeating the record previously held by a man who filibustered the literal Civil Rights Act. As the time ticked over, Cory Booker announced he did it not out of hatred for who he opposed, but out of love for those who supported him.

Things Democratic Senators could do that would be useful: - Withdraw unanimous consent from all Senate business until constitutional rule was restored - Refuse to vote for any legislation until constitutional rule was restored - Boycott as a caucus until constitutional rule was restored

Longest speaking filibuster ever was 24 hours, 18 minutes by Strom Thurmond in opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1957. In a few hours, that record will be shattered by Sen. Cory Booker, a Black man, laying out the case for saving democracy from an aspiring despot.
