Important read. Research is vitally important to our understanding of global change and for our future preparedness in the face of these changes. Firing scientists and defending programs that support research puts all of us at risk. Just because we won’t understand it doesn’t mean it will go away.

WHOA -- this is soooo cool and very needed!!! I hope this takes off. Contribute local stories about federal cuts for a Tracking Map to go live next week. Contribute here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F... More context here: www.linkedin.com/posts/abigai...
Tracking Federal Cuts Mapping Project
This form allows you to contribute to the Tracking Federal Cuts Map with local stories about how the cuts are impacting your community.

The goal of this is to better inform the public about the impact the firings of civil servants, withdrawal of funding, and termination of programs may have on everyday Americans across every state.

The intent of this project is informational. With things moving so fast on so many levels, it is hard to know how changes made in Washington, D.C. will impact us. We hope this map will help put a face to these changes.
We are a group of grad and PhD students working on collecting stories from across the country and need your help!

What impacts are being reported where you are?
