i think the funniest fighting game balance change ive ever seen is in the formerly-rare umk3 wavenet rather than removing the base umk3 infinites by nerfing chars, instead they kept them in but added a cap to total moves in a combo. if u try to infinite still, the game makes fun of you, LOOOL

EG fell for it too. :( The Capcom presentation contains a slide with "AI世代のゲームエンジンへ" - the article omits the "へ", for one, but the issue is that while 世代 means 'generation', it's in the 'console generation' sense, not like GenAI. Without へ, translation software gets it totally wrong.

The DMC5 trio has this capacity for higher APM which is fun to wrestle with in LDK mode. V's summons, Dante's style switching and Nero's devil breaker and charge mechanics all give you plenty of things to do during and in between interactions. An all-you-can-do buffet pairs well with the hordes.

I never watched all of the development live action cutscenes before, so this has been a great way to spice up the LDK playthrough. It's fun to see the execution here and fill the gaps myself with memories and my own imagination. Starting to think this might be my favorite playthrough of the game.
