The Bar of Paris’ Union has deployed during the protests today in Paris, stating they’d be there “against the unprecedented repression and violence against children. For their right to education. And for our civil liberties.” Shout out to the lad who told me I was wrong to use “unprecedented”

Will this do it? Is this enough for the government to realise it needs to overhaul the laws around protest, direct action and terrorism so as not to conflate scary/expensive criminal damage with killing people? Surely now? The government has to realise at some point!

The free world must confront reality: the US is no longer a friend and ally, but an enemy in the club of rogue regimes. The Trump regime is actively working to destroy International Law, the International Order and to carve the world into spheres of influence with Russia and China.

Ukrainians are not superheroes. They are people who want to live, love, and see another tomorrow. Two of Ukraine’s leading artists, Jamala and ONUKA, have come together to release “Lyudyna” (“Human”) — a song about finding the strength to keep going, even when you have none left.

Someone should try to track down this interview. Make it a mission. Call him out on just making this up on the spot (I guess most likely) or locate which Russian operative or asset (witting or otherwise) gave him an interview made specifically for him.

This is a Russian jet-powered Shahed drone striking a supermarket in Odesa in broad daylight today. This is terrorism. Terrorists shouldn't be rewarded with lucrative business deals. They must be repelled, arrested, and prosecuted.

It's a huge swing away from ReformUK to Labour (great!). But, as @mattsteinglass.bsky.social highlights, first past the post has delivered a result a majority probably didn't want. I think most voters wanted a councillor who is cruel and racist. Cruel people deserve cruel representation.

Putin, on the other hand - nice guy who just wants large sections of neighbouring countries, to steal and indoctrinate their children, commit sexual violence against residents, and kill anyone who won't comply. Putin's ready to make a deal that allows him to do that and trade with USA/Trump.
