We don’t have universal healthcare for the same reason that white southerners poured cement into their community swimming pools rather than let their black neighbors swim in them. Racism is ruining ALL of our lives.

People keep saying “oh so you want OPEN BORDERS” as some kind of gotcha and like. Yeah. When I was a kid you could just drive into Canada. On accident, even. It was great, and I think we should do that instead of kidnapping children. Normalize being normal instead of being kidnapping weirdos

If you’re accepting assignments via Canvas, you’re facilitating cheating & betraying students who want to learn. Accommodations matter; good ones don’t feed AI. “But it’s more work!” Yes, resisting fascism—AI is a component—is harder than looking the other way.

insisting on calling every mass day of protest or one-day boycott a "general strike" is not the move. it's good to see people rallying around the cause, it matters, but if you want to be part of a large-scale labor action that shuts down the gears of capital, start by unionizing your workplace!!!

ICE has only existed since 2003. A Bush-era creation, it is a militarized federal secret police that has been imbued with the Supreme Court with the unconstitutional power to ignore the fourth amendment. Abolishing it and salting the earth where it grew is the moderate stance.

Do not let the failures of prosecution post January 6th happen again. Every second you do not charge this person is a second the massive propaganda apparatus around the federal government will use to create a fog of lies to get him off. Arrest him immediately for killing an American citizen.

Every second the murderer is not arrested is another second for feds to hide him in a place that would create a jurisdictional fight. He's on video killing a person. You have to arrest this guy an hour ago, but you might still have time now.

That Compact essay is very easily picked a part with actual data/evidence, but what has become clear is there is very little will to do so as its dubious claims confirm a deeply held grievance amongst an apparently large % of our white colleagues that they are the victims of rampant discrimination.

Lawn darts only killed one kid before they were banned. Meta has killed 36. www.nbcnews.com/tech/social-...
Sextortion scams have become a growing threat in recent years, with thousands of victims - primarily boys - nationwide, according to an FBI alert last year. The FBI has blamed criminals in West Africa and Southeast Asia for operating the schemes. And at least 36 teen boys have died by suicide after being victimized by financial sextortion, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.Bergman said the growth team opposed privacy-by-default for teen accounts and dominated internal decision-making.
"There were people of conscience working for Meta that were trying their level best to sound the alarm bell of what these platforms were doing, but time and time again, the concerns for public safety gave way to the imperative of corporate profit," Bergman said.
