In China & India, the growth in electricity demand has "decoupled" from the growth in fossil fuels. The next step is for fossil fuel demand to plateau & head down, even as economic growth continues. Should happen in the next few years. Believe me, when it happens you'll hear some cheering.

It's not often one gets to see something as fantastic as Arcane. The way season one was so much more meaningful the second watch makes me think there will be many more rewatches in my future. I can safely award this show as my #2 favorite ever. Second only to the original three LOTR movies. Amazing!

kantha is a south asian technique for recycling scrap fabric. it was originally used at a time when fabric was very precious. the technique involves attaching layers of scrap material using a running stitch (pics 1, 2 and 3). it's similar to japanese boro (pic 4).
