Getting real tired of words like 'disorder' and 'diagnosis'. If we're #actuallyautistic, shouldn't we be choosing our own language to describe our experience instead of using inaccurate NT language? 'Assessed' or 'Identified' works way better than 'diagnosed'.

That it is SO hard to socialise when you no longer use masking as a blueprint. How do I be friends with someone without slipping into that habit? It's like learning from scratch. I keep finding myself forcing eye contact even with an autistic person, because I don't know how to say I don't like it.

Rarely do we play hell with it.
