Just noticed that Safehouse has reached 1600 hits! I'm surprised and humbled that anyone at all wants to read this bleak slowburn ReTi of mine, and I'm very grateful <3 Thank you! Shameful plug: archiveofourown.org/works/476915...

Been a while since I've been writing, but I think I'm ready to just edit chapter 14 of Safehouse before posting it. It's been on my mind a lot lately and I'm glad to find some energy to work on it again :))))

Tim Curry and Dolly Parton have taught us not only that you should be bigger, weirder, gayer, and freakier, but also that those qualities are what people will love about you. The things that make you strange and amazing are the things that will resonate with other strange and amazing people

saw this post years ago and will never ever forget it. sometimes you need to tend to the place from which you create, before you can create again

Screenshot of a tumblr post by user aureliobooks that reads: My dad likes to call the stretches of time where you’re not creating “dreaming periods” and says that they’re meant to allow you to absorb all of the beauty, life, and inspiration from the things around you so that when you’re able to create again, you will have fanned your spark back into a flame. Sometimes its hard to see those moments as anything but stagnation, but he always says that they’re natural and healthy and needed—things that should be embraced rather than feared.

I've made peace with the fact that I'm mediocre, that I'll never write like a native speaker and that my stories could use a writer with more sleep and less adhd. I'd rather write shitty and flawed and damn fucking cringe than use that shit.

It’s so frustrating to see every creative industry in shambles right now because it’s not for lack of shows, movies, games, books, comics, etc making money. People are hungry for human made art! The greed of others is killing our creative careers.

As I can’t format italics here, have a screenshot instead 😅

“You left yesterday and didn’t answer your phone,” Tseng says in greeting. “Why?”

“I…” Reno inhales deeply. His intention was to fuck away the pain in New Wall after his fight with Elena. That is *not* what happened.

NOT ME, DECIDING I NEED A *FOURTH* NEW CHAPTER BETWEEN TWO I HAD ALREADY WRITTEN. NOT ME, deciding that what is in the no-longer-next chapter no longer fits the story AND NOW HAVE TO REWRITE THAT TOO. (yes, finally slightly working on Safehouse again, but as you can see, NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT)
