I don't think I can say anything about the loss of Dolly Parton that hasn't been said. But I believe in being the sort of person who tries to put good into the world and she did that. Relentlessly. May her memory inspire those of us remaining to try our best to make the world better.

In today's adult purchases, I just bought my first fridge-freezer and washing machine. Gonna offset by drinking wine and writing smut when I get home 🤣

House/pet sitting for the friends I used to live with, which is a whole load of feelings I don't wanna dwell on given the circumstances that led to me moving out. Parents and sister came to visit though. I cooked curry and we drank wine and played exploding kittens. 10/10 evening, no notes.

All I have done has been for you #ringsofpower This was insane actually. Having Sauron use soft caresses to torture poor Celebrimbor. I loved it

Drawing of a scene from Rings of Power, where Sauron in his Annatar darker form tortures a bloodied Celebrimbor with soft caresses on his face and on the many arrows shot into him

Midnight of the Century. Black, red, and white image showing a woman screaming and split into multiple faces in front of a stark forest.

Runecairn Wardensaga Remastered. Vibrant blue and magenta, burning Viking warrior wielding two swords and surrounded by the charred and yearning dead. Art by CROM.

We Deal in Lead. Weird west gunslinger adventure game. Mysterious gunslinger drawing their gun in front of an open door leading to another world. Striking reds and yellows. Art by Goran Gligovíc.

The last three days I've managed on one cup of coffee and a couple of cups of green tea, instead of e.g six cups of coffee. And I only had an excruciating headache on one of those so... Win? 😅 (Brought to you by the realisation I really need to do something about my anxiety levels before I explode)

I have something that fits this week's #SundaySnips in the very small amount of the pansexual space thing I have that's actually written and not just living rent-free in my brain.

A screenshot from Scrivener, white text on a grey background with the word 'smoke' highlighted.
“Doesn’t ring a bell,” Morrigan said, pushing through the door. There were tables and chairs scattered around the dim room, most already occupied, and pouches of herbs tied to the air filters high on the smoke-stained ceiling. She pulled her scarf off, tasting mint, rosmarin and the sour, sweaty fug they were trying to mask, and headed for the bar.
“Her name’s Healey,” said Katja, still following.
Morrigan tossed her knapsack under a stool at the counter, then shrugged her oilskin jacket off. “Never heard of her.”
“Morrigan Healey?”
“Nope.”

The soup. Carrot, leek, red lentils and chicken stock. So simple but so delicious 😋

A red bowl with a metal spoon sticking out of it, balanced on someone wearing jeans' knee. The bowl is full of a yellow soup, and there are round pieces of orange carrot in it.

Halfway through my fourth book this week. I needed this holiday *so* badly.

There is an open book in the foreground, two grey rattan chairs and a rattan table with a clear glass top. An empty glass and a pair of red sunglasses are on the table, and there is a grey parasol at the top of the picture. In the background there is a green bush, a grey patio and a light green gate and beyond that, there is bright blue sky and a few wispy clouds.

Another step closer to preserving Before Crisis! Last year, Ch.1 was found in full, and it's slowly getting more complete. I'm always so impressed by the team at the Keitai World server working to get BC operational – imo, this game is emblematic of the whole keitai preservation effort. Great work!
