Here's a new sneak peek of the ghost bag I'm working on. I designed and appliqued the ghosts and planets. I also hand-embroidered a few larger stars. Ultimately, I decided my bag should depict a pizza party in space. I'll keep posting pics as I make progress. jeremycreature.bigcartel.com

Here's a lovely photo of my applique bag in the making. There are two ghosts of different sizes. They're white with gray faces, twinkly black eyes, and a little frown. They're appliqued on a beautiful galaxy print fabric. I've embroidered a few larger stars on the fabric as well. I've appliqued a few planets as well, an orange one, a small yellow one, and a red one with a golden ring. Each ghost is holding a slice of pepperoni pizza.

This afternoon a youth at the tea place saw my t-shirt (a Cowboy Bebop shirt that says See You Space Cowboy… on black in the font), pointed it out, and said ‘I love that band!’ A comment which mystified me. I have since done some searching and I am so delighted.

SeeYouSpaceCowboy looks to create a dialogue with fans regarding LGBTQ representation. Their personal politics also include vegan, anti-racist and anti-capitalist messages. Sgarbossa notes that the quintet hope to bring a zine library on future tours to help spread awareness of their intersectional beliefs.[1]
