I don't know what it is about the writing of @cullenbunn.bsky.social: his approach to horror scratches my brain in just the right way. So of course I'm one of the first in line to back his short story collection. Join me, won't you?

Being a billionaire must be insane. You can buy new teeth, new skin. All your chairs cost 20,000 dollars and weigh 2,000 pounds. Your life is just a series of your own preferences. In terms of cognitive impairment it's probably like being kicked in the head by a horse every day

This sums up my own experience in recent years. My theory is that there are so many genuine existential crises right now that people's instinct is to treat even low-stakes issues (movies! fandoms! personal preferences!) like existential crises. Makes having a normal conversation almost impossible.

Chicago putting a Mariachi band out there to do the National Anthem is a boss move. I almost don't even care what happens in the game, that was dope.

I've read ownership of the title was disputed by Gillis -- its origins as a New Universe pitch makes all of that even murkier -- but also odd that it continued without him at all. Maybe a FU by Shooter? Sadly with Gillis gone I doubt we'll ever find out. Damn. Damn.

If I could recommend you one Batman comic on Batman Day, I would strongly recommend Batman: Creature of the Night by @kurtbusiek.bsky.social and the late, legendary John Paul Leon. This is my favorite Batman Comic AND DC Comic that was released while I worked at DC. (Note: I had no part in it!)

I would like media to care more about the reality that tech tycoons want to kill people than what they’re imagining about AI wanting to kill people. We have multi-millionaires (with support from billionaires!) calling for ethnic cleansing, a thing that has happened in living memory. Not theoretical!

‘If we give the fascists a little of what they want, they’ll be satisfied’ is a demonstrable, frequently exploded myth, yet is somehow also the basis for almost all social democratic politics in 2026.

Rough sketches and layouts by Joe Kubert. I love seeing pieces like this but it's usually just a small subset of an extras section, even in an Artist's Edition. Are there any art books with a primary focus on pencil roughs/sketches/layouts?

A lovely color comp of an earlier version of the Star Spangled War Stories #142 cover.

The cover sketch of Star Spangled War Stories #146.

Cover sketches of Showcase Comics #57 and #58, the first two appearances of the Enemy Ace.

Sketches of alternate versions of Star Spangled War Stories #140 and #143 covers.
