Why do I keep harping on this? It's my belief that when you're clear on their strategy, you can be clear on our strategy. Understanding their goals and priorities helps to crystallize your tactics and it focuses your attention. Whatever they want to do to women, they'll try with Black women first.

I said this in a reply, but it needs to not be lost -- this bill does NOT remove the marriage penalty. This bill has no impact on SSI monthly benefits, and the marriage penalty refers to the loss of monthly benefits when SSI recipients marry. That is still going to happen if this bill passes.
