For those interested: She is the head falconer at Guttenberg Castle, where she and her team care for dozens of various birds of prey and owls. The castle is located in Germany, near Heidelberg, and is always worth a visit - you’ll learn a lot.

Historian of French Revolution here to say the guillotine (named for the physician who invented it) was intentionally designed to be all these things. It was also envisioned as democratizing the death penalty and ending the long tortured spectacle of someone perishing on the gallows.
