Kate Atherley @kateatherley.bsky.social · 19hI really do love traveling to teach knitting classes and to spend time with yarn and yarn lovers but after three back-to-back events I am very very happy to be home. 1251

Kate Atherley @kateatherley.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Very sad to report that @normwilner.bsky.social & I said goodbye to our beloved Winnie yesterday. Although we had more time with her than was expected given her cancer diagnosis, it could never have been enough. She was only 7 years old, and had been living with us for 5. We will miss her terribly. 257216066

Kate Atherley @kateatherley.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I desperately want to go and see the Bayeux (not-a-) Tapestry. When I was a kid we had a school project about it, and we did a collaborative large scale embroidery. 1240

Kate Atherley @kateatherley.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Spotted on Threads recently. So happy this knitter made a swatch! Yay! But prompted by how this is phrased, I want to talk about a misconception I encounter distressingly often... Here's the key fact: THE NEEDLE SIZE YOU USE TO GET GAUGE IS UTTERLY IRRELEVANT. 🧵🧶 4323

Kate Atherley @kateatherley.bsky.social · 28/08/2026I have said for some time that Toronto's greatest food quirk is the way we are happy to put butter chicken on/in anything (pizza, fries, burritos, nachos, pasta, you name it... ). I think the "sandwich made with two Jamaican patties instead of bread" is a very close second. 2174

Kate Atherley @kateatherley.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Truly outstanding words of advice from a student in a recent class...
