You can read about it if you look up Audiogenic reflex seizures in cats. One of the triggers is crinkling of tin foil. My cat suffers from it.

A study of 154 professional singers found COVID-19 had lasting effects on vocal health. After recovering from COVID, 53% reported persistent vocal changes and 44% new throat clearing. Researchers found COVID more than doubled the risk of voice impairment, highlighting the need for post-COVID care.
