Airliners typically have HEPA filters, yes. But the virus laden aerosolized saliva particles that person is exhaling or coughing 18 inches from your head are gonna go into *your* nose & lungs LONG BEFORE they ever hit that filter in the belly of the aircraft. Er zijn politiemensen in uw omgeving die het gewoon niet meer trekken om elke dag weer uitleg te moeten geven over IS, Parijs, Marokkanen en vult u verder zelf maar in. Die het spuugzat zijn dat maten met wie ze zo de straat opgaan het tijdens het journaal zonder enige terughoudendheid hebben over die kutmoslims en dat wij die moskeeën maar in de fik moeten steken, want dan is het probleem opgelost. Excuus voor mijn taalgebruik, maar dit weerklinkt momenteel in de agentenwacht. Ik weiger het mooier te maken dan het is.

Bakker, Van Baarsen en hun co-auteurs kregen deze week onder Europese technologie-ondernemers opvallend veel bijval. Ze vinden dat er feitelijk geen andere keuze is dan meedoen met de AI-wedloop zoals de Amerikanen die nu aan het winnen zijn: Europa moet volgens hen net als de Amerikanen investeringen van honderden miljarden euro’s doen in start-ups, bestaande bedrijven en de bouw van reusachtige datacenters, ook als die aanvankelijk nog zeer vervuilend zijn.
