Everyone should own a cast iron pan. Total game changer. Maintenance isn't a big deal, just keep it away from water, excess oil, sunlight, wooden forks, and whispers. When transporting, wear correct wrist support, pinch the edges gently and lift AWAY from you, but also never, ever do this. At all.

It was total disorientation. Internet, TV, and phone service was spotty. You knew more planes had been hijacked but didn't know where they were or how many. Tanks lined the streets, barring people from their homes. We had no idea what the scale of everything was yet, or when it all would end.

NYC was already changing fast, but it was like 9/11 bolted the door shut on 20th century New York. It was like if all the upheaval and chaos of the pandemic took place in one day. Everyone came out of it a little shellshocked, changed.

What is it with all the Monday parties on the night of 9/10? It's like we unconsciously knew it was the last night of the old NYC. I was at a goth party that night and had to wear my club clothes for 2 days while quarantined in Manhattan.

It's 9/11 and I'm standing on a Greenwich Village rooftop in front of one burning tower, wearing a fetish nun outfit. I shit you not.

A director of a sci fi movie once pitched me renders of a literal nazi uniform he'd photoshopped to be white, complete with red and black armband (but with a different symbol!). I talked him into letting me do something more subtle. That director's renders were still more subtle than this.
