I still refer to playing OSE or Shadowdark as "Playing D&D". Each of those games is more similar to at least one edition of D&D than some editions are to one another.

Looking at the rules for Metamorphosis Alpha and this section stood out to me. 1. 12 year olds are "adult"??? 2. Up to 24 players. I understand this was from a time when the Caller was a regular member of the game, but even then, sheesh.

Honour Run update. All but my Tav (an orc barbarian named Hobb) were killed fighting the Githyanki in front of the mountain pass. He was one hit away from a TPK when the final enemy fell. I went to the Creche, but totally forgot how to do that bit and nearly got obliterated multiple times.
