Looking at the rules for Metamorphosis Alpha and this section stood out to me. 1. 12 year olds are "adult"??? 2. Up to 24 players. I understand this was from a time when the Caller was a regular member of the game, but even then, sheesh.

I'm in roughly the same ballpark. But most of my stuff on there is PWYW (partially because the project I am promoting the most is unfinished). I still like RPG Trader in theory, but it will be some time for it to really take off, if it does.

Here is page 8 of the history of the Super Saturdays TTRPG campaign world. The Rejects are one of my favorite parts of this setting. They started as a sort of hippy commune of outsiders, but evolved by 2026 into a group of heroes that use their powers to fulfill mutual aid requests.

Reading an old X-Men comic where Callisto has rescued Professor X and apparently dressed him up in spiked leather straps....for...reasons...

Professor X wakes up covered in leather straps, fingerless gloves and a choker collar. "Why am I here? Where are my clothes? Good grief woman, what have you DONE to me?"

Callisto says, "Saved your life, for starters. But you don't have to thank us or anything --- We MORLOCKS just love being taken for granted. By the way, I think your new look's a distinct improvement. "

The Multi Action Dice (or MAD) System...

The MAD System
Super Saturdays uses Multiple Action Dice (or MAD) to resolve Actions. An Action can be used to Attack, Command, Fortify, Sense, Hide, Maneuver, Move, or Recover (see ACTIONS).

There are two kinds of dice: d12 (a twelve-sided die) and d6 (a six-sided die). Players use one d6 at a time, but can have multiple d12s on a given roll.

D12 is your Action Die. Roll the die and compare to the Resistance. If your roll is equal to or greater than the Resistance you succeed and roll on the TRIUMPH Die. If you fail, roll on the TRAGEDY Die.
The Mentor informs you of the Resistance for the action you are performing, typically chosen based on the environment or the score of a target’s relevant Stat(typically noted in the Action’s description).

MULTIPLE ACTION DICE
Often the situation allows you to roll more than one d12 on an Action Roll. When this happens you roll as many dice as the situation grants and pick the result you want. If you can’t justify any dice to facilitate a specific action, then you can’t even attempt said action.

If any of the results on the d12s meets or exceeds the Resistance, you are successful!

BUT

If one of the results on any of the dice used in a roll is a 1 you must roll a TRAGEDY die, even if you succeed on the Action. It is totally possible to roll for TRIUMPH and TRAGEDY on the same action. You have achieved your goal, BUT AT WHAT COST?!

TRAGEDY DIE (d6)
1 Close Call!
You’re rattled but fine. Maybe your costume’s singed or you’re dangling from a ledge.
2 Off Your Game!
Gain a Condition (such as Off Balance, Dazed, Entangled) until the end of your next turn.
3 Power Glitch!
One power or gear is unusable until you Recover.
4 Collateral Chaos!
You succeed or fail, but something nearby gets wrecked. Citizens, buildings, cars, etc.
5 Big Trouble!
You’re trapped, pinned, or knocked far away. You must spend your next Action getting back in the fight.
6 Out of the Fight!
You’re not dead, but you’re KO’d, buried, or blasted off-screen. You’re out until the next scene unless someone performs a Heroic Recovery.

TRIUMPH DIE (d6)
1 Messy Win!
You succeed, but something complicates it. A villain has you in their sights or your secret identity may be compromised, for example,
2 Solid Hit!
You did the thing. Clean and simple.
3 BAM! POW!
You create a strong advantage. Your opponent gains a Condition of your choice(provided the Condition is a logical outcome of your Action).
4 Set Up!
Gain +1d12 to your next Action or pass it to an ally.
5 Heroic Surge!
+1d12 to all future Actions you make in this scene.
6 Retcon!
Take narrative control for the remainder of your turn, redirect missiles, monologue mid-punch, rewrite the current narrative to change one key element. Retcons cannot instantly defeat a Villain or Supervillain, but may dramatically alter the situation in the heroes' favor.

I think I figured out how to do the character sheet. There will be a modified one as a stat block for enemies.
