This is disastrous for Le Penn and r/w types elsewhere. There is a Generation Greta in Europe who know, from experience nagging parents on climate crisis, they can change things and are at the voting age now. Many dismissed Greta a few years ago but she was right then and she's right now.

Just a reminder - the previous government forced trans & gender-questioning youth who are under 18 to go through the CAMHS service (with equally long waiting lists) before being referred onto youth gender clinics - effectively hiding the numbers of trans+ kids waiting for CAMHS (and any deaths)!

For some light relief: this morning Gerry Carroll MLA accused Gavin Robinson MP of blocking a road during the summer riots. Robinson threatened legal action and Nolan shut Carroll down. So... people have found the footage of Gavin Robinson standing on a road talking to protesters.

Sat next to a crying baby for the entire flight. I don't mind though. Feel like they were the only other passenger who truly grasped the unnatural horror of our undertaking. Man does not belong to the sky. The real monsters are those who remain silent.

I still have a lot of “but why don’t the residents let the Order march?” Well, because they remember. A community activist from Ardoyne I won’t name, but goes under Belfast.jpeg, has compiled some of the stories. There are 21 deaths total linked to the Drumcree “dispute”.

They’re always angry and violent, there’s rarely dialogue. Each occasion was traumatic and I wonder now if I’d still have the nerve to intervene if I needed to today. Police were crap by the way, on all three occasions.

In the last 15 years I’ve intervened on three occasions when I’ve seen a man or men behaving threateningly to women. All three occasions resulted in violence. The women got away, the last time I got a concussion. Stay calm, stay on your feet, keep moving, keep the bastards focus on you long enough.

Oh John! Welcome to 90’s Norniron, all the anxiety and growing tension. Those people you see blocking that road today were beaten off it by the RUC 30 years ago. I’m proud of them, despite all the trauma from the horrible 90’s as a community they continue to stand for each other.

Just to fully underline how spiteful this shit is for those unaware: On the left is the route the Orange Order have been ordered to take for the past 3 decades without trouble. On the right is the route that has brought hundreds of cops to Drumcree. The only motivation is sectarian antagonism.

Drumcree wasnt my political awakening, learning about Bloody Sunday at the age of 9 was. Drumcree was probably the angriest I'd ever been though, 15 years old and I watched the RUC beat and drag the people of the Garvaghy road off the street live on TV. Then the triumphalism, the bigoted ba*****s
