I harvested a couple of decent logs from this blown down cherry tree in our woods and took them to our local sawmill and kiln. I got back this nice pile of kiln-dried boards, 11' long, 1 1/8" thick and up to 12" wide. This will supply my woodworking hobby for decades/lifetime. Lemons to lemonade.

Today, I milled up some rough white oak lumber into 4-square boards for a table top. It will wind up 60" long x 32" wide x 1" thick. It's just a start, but laying out and milling rough lumber into surfaced planks is super rewarding. BTW, the tree came from our property.

I am so pissed off that ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED if her original owners would have gotten her a basic spay. She had so much life in her and it was taken away by shear neglect! 😡

She had never been spayed. so we go her spayed and our Vet did staged, bilateral radical mastectomies. She healed up very well, but shortly went lame due to pathological fracture from metastasis to her front elbow joint. We were forced into a humane euthanasia today, due to excruciating pain.

Please, please, please spay and neuter your companion animals. About 4 months ago we adopted Nora. She was found abandoned and wandering the streets of Harrisburg. When she came to us, she had mammary tumors (breast cancer) in almost all of her mammary glands, from the size of marbles to golf balls!

Flies were the guide's. Hoppers, ants, little attractors like little Royal Wulffs. We also caught a few on small nymphs and stripping streamers on Hebgen Lake.

Fly fishing trip to W. Yellowstone. Fishing was spectacular in Yellowstone NP and on the Madison River downstream from The Park. Weather was perfect. Tourists and fishers were sparse, since it was "back-to-school" for anyone with kids. All fish were safely released after their photo ops.

This thank you card came in the mail today. I'm so proud of my Zach and my A2 heritage.☺️ FYI, I started diving at this neighborhood pool and went on to top ten in D1 NCAA, US Opens and eventually 27 meter high diving shows.

Wicked but brief storm blew through tonight and we lost at least a half-dozen mature oak trees 🌳 n our woods. Grateful that no people, animals or property were damaged. P.S. we are ~100 miles North of DC.
