Every time I try to understand the AT Protocol or Bluesky or the Atmosphere, it slips through my fingers. I have that feeling enough already, so I’m done trying. Please don’t ask me what I don’t understand about it. It’s all of it. I’m tying a knot on putting effort into this.

I wish there was a filter on Bluesky to only show posts that people allow replies. Just annoys me when there’s a post I’d like to reply to and it’s been gated off. Would rather just not see those posts because the whole practice feels like an anti-pattern.

Is there a labeller for self-promotional posts? You know the posts, where they ask you to subscribe to a newsletter or become a Patreon member and the like after a few posts of whatever they normally post about.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default. Here's how to turn it off. First go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner

Canada’s @theglobeandmail.com does Bluesky right. They post just the links, no text (why bother when the headlines of the articles are in the embeds?), and you can tell it’s really them because they know what a TXT record is.
